Other news:

- I´m currently staying at the SIM recidency in Reykjavik, Iceland, for the month of June and the 1st week of July. On the 28th of June the artists here held a one day exhibition at CIA.IS (Center of Icelandic art). I presented 5 drawings on old maps I had bought in a second hand store. They are almost empty maps; a small corner of land up to the left, the rest is a big blue void representing the sea, with no information whatsoever. I decided to add some.

Medellandssandur

The maps are all the same area (Medallandssandur, on the South coast of Iceland), the drawings are done with felt pens.

I´ve got more copies of this particular map, so I might continue the series.

mating whales

Usually, mating whales is not my subject matter... In this case however it was a natural element to add, since it relates to old maps of Iceland from the 16th-17th century, where the sea is filled with all sorts of whale "monsters". This drawing is thus an updated "Sea of love" version, complete with groups of Grey whales who apparently often use a third "helper" to support the female during the act.

Crop circle

Above left: A harmonic duet made up of a sonar pulse and Finn Whale song.

Above right: Originally a crop circle from England discovered 2001. In this second manifestation it appeared as a maritim phenomenon.

- A selection of Poker drawings are included in the latest issue of Bjørn Hegardts drawing publication Fukt magazine (no 8/9), launched in June 2010.
