When my father got Alzheimer’s, my mother made him a memorial album of photos with image texts. I recreated the 95 photos as drawings, to incorporate them in the montage film Junaiten - about my two parents different versions of my father’s life story. The reason for drawing the photos was partly to separate the images “belonging” to each of my parents´ story, partly to visuality unify the album material, and partly to create a kind of filter.

      The series of drawings have been shown as an autonomous work, installed as spreads from an album. The installation has included the generative drawing “Discontinuity Bridge”, which relate to my fathers life.

      The first installation of the complete series was shown at Indre Østfold Kunstforening, spring 2023. I plan to rework the installation for my show at Østfold Kunstsenter, autumn 2023.
